Nicky Wu had been filming the last few scenes of his latest swordfighting television drama "Xiao Shi Yi Lang" in Su Zhou, China. However, yesterday morning, during a bomb explosion scene, Nicky accidently injured his right hand, its flesh was torned and ripped open on the spot! His whole hand was swollen. After rushing to the hospital for treatment, and sewed 6 to 7 needles, he had returned to the hotel in the evening to rest. But the whole filming work had be stopped, and might not be able to complete in time.

Nicky Wu seldom used stuntman. He would always did the dangerous scenes like racing car, explosion and horse riding himself. Yesterday. in an explosion scene, he had hided in a big clay pot, when there a big explosion sounded, he is supposed to fly out of the shattered clay. For such scene, the timing of the explosion and the pulling of the wire tied to Nicky had to be very accurate to prevent any injury. The director had asked whether Nicky needed a stuntman for the scene, but Nicky did not want to use a stuntman and prefer to do it himself.

But the accidents happened in just that two seconds difference. The explosion was more powerful than expected and the wire was pulled just two seconds late, Nicky was choked by the bomb smell, his body was hitted by pieces of the shattered clay, the flesh of his right hand was ripped open on the spot and bleeding profusely, and fell motionless on the ground. The whole production crew were stunned and horrified by the sight. They immediately rushed Nicky to hospital.

Nicky was rushed to hospital for treatment and managed to control his right hand injury. But his hand was still swollen and could not move. Besides phoned his manager in Taiwan to inform her of his injury, he also applied leave with the production group. The doctor instruct him to rest for at least three to five days before he could continue filming. But the rest of the scenes all required big movements, the production crew is considering getting a stunt to replace Nicky in those unfinished scenes, so as to meet the deadline as well as to prevent his injury from worsening.

When "Fu Long" manager, Liao Su Ping received the news, she was restless the whole day and was worried to death. She said that the medical facilities in China is a problem. Nicky might have fear the we will be worried and did not dare to elaborate on his injury. The company planned to let him rest for a few months to recuperate and would only scheduled for new acting project next year.
