Yesterday, Nicky Wu appeared at the opening ceremony of the Television festival in Chengdu, China. Many fans crowded outside the Chengdu International Seminar Centre, hoping to see their favourite stars. Besides Nicky, more than 30 artists also showed up to promote their productions in the competitive market.

Nicky Wu, Ruby Lin and Chen Kun drew the most attention from the reporters and fans. They were surrounded by them once they arrived, even the staffs could not control the crowd. In the end, security guards and policemen had to be called in.

That day, more than 250 reporters from over 90 news media over the country hoping to get the lastest news. And as only those with identity could enter the place, some of the fans used all sort of tricks to try to sneak in. Many of the fans were unfortunately barred from the centre. However, they still stayed on clutching on to pens and books, some even with posters of the stars, rushing up to any of the stars that they saw going in and out of the centre, asking for signature. At four in the afternoon, a student-like girl told a reporter that she had tried several times to get in but still been blocked from entry. She had not even managed to get a single signature from the stars coming and going.

Once a fully black clothed, red haired Nicky Wu appeared at the counter of television serial "Xiao Shiyi Lang", he was immediately surrounded by a hordes of fans. Surprisingly, most of the fans are males. Without concern of any gentlemenly manners, they rushed to take up the place with other female fans, causing many screams in the crowd. Only when Nicky shouted,"If you pushed, I will not sign!" did the fans hurrily line up.

After the one hour autographs section had ended, Nicky planned to leave the place secretly with the protection of the bodyguards, but were soon spotted by the fans. Within 2 seconds, a big group of males and females fans rushed up to him.

Nicky Wu really live up to his name as an athlete. When he saw what happened, he immediately start running. The fans also started running causing chaos to the place. With no choice, Nicky ran to the hotel nearby. Unexpectedly, there is also a athlete in his group of fans, a sporty-like female fan broke through the bodyguards to pass a bunch of flowers to running Nicky!

Nicky Wu had just completed his new television drama "Xiao Shiyi Lang". He said that he had agreed earlier on to attend the premier of the movie "First Love" in Chengdu. But he was injured while filming and had to cancel it at the last minute. When the reporter asked after his injury, Nicky showed his right hand on the spot to showed the reporters his scare, saying,"It is not as horrible as what is reported. It is nearly healed now."

After acting for so many years, Nicky is still being called at "Pop Idol". On this title which represent no acting skills, Nicky did not mind at all, "As long as the viewers like it. As long as I give my best during filming."

On Ada, Nicky appeared more open. The reporter asked when he is marrying Ada, he frankly said,"We are very busy with our work and have no time to think about marriage at all." It was said that both of them even planned to co-operate in a movie, just that the script was not good so the plan was abandoned for now.

Nicky was also asked about the rumour of not being on good terms with Alec Su,"We are very good, and are still good friends. We even call each other frequently now."
