Nicky Wu is injured! The news came from China to Hong Kong before spreading to Taiwan. His fans were very worried when the Hong Kong reported that Nicky's right hand had been exploded in an explosion, he was sent to hospital immediately and got 7-8 stitches!

When Nicky knew that his injury had been reported, he just laughed it off,"It's nothing, just a little injury. I continued filming the next day." He courageously said, "Besides, I didn't get 7 or 8 stitches, just 5 or 6!"

In fact, Nicky Wu is used to injury. The occurrance of accidents during filming is not something unusual. Being professional, Nicky Wu is well-known for always doing his best, and refusing to use stuntmen for many action scenes. He would always do it himself and hence was more prompt to injuries.

This accident happened three weeks ago. Nicky Wu was filming the television serial "Xiao Shiyi Lang" in Su Zhou, China. Nicky was supposed to fly out from a shed, while the shed exploded. Unexpectedly, because there is a negligence in the timing between controlling of the wiring and the explosion, when the shed exploded, Nicky was not pull out by the wire in time, causing Nicky's hand to be injured by the explosion, and dropped out of pain to the ground!

Although Nicky said that he was not seriously injured, according to his Taiwan agent who rushed to Suzhou to look at his injury,"It is actually quite serious. When I saw him, his whole hand was swollen and bruised. It is not exactly wrong to say that the flesh had exploded. Even now when the injury had begun to mend, the scar still looks very scary."

When Nicky's manager first heard of the news, she was very worried the Nicky had injured his bones, nerves, and would cause adverse effect later on. "Fortunately, only the flesh is injured. Only for the first few days after his injury, he could not lift up his hand."

Initally, Nicky had worried that his injury will affect the work of the whole filming crew. However, "Xiao Shiyi Lang' had successfully completed the filming at end of October. He went back to Hong Kong to rest for a few days, and after going for a complete check up at the hospital, he already fly to Si Chuan, China to attend the Television festival in Chengdu together with the female main actress, Athena Chu, in "Xiao Shiyi Lang" to promote the drama.

For a long time, Nicky had been filming at different places. Besides having an easily dislocated shoulder which he had suffered for many years, some injuries which he had no time to be healed properly in the past, had also caused his rheumatism now. As long as his body is too tired or the weather changes, his joints would start to ache.

In the long run, Nicky had learned how to handle ailments and injuries. While his fellow female co-star would carry small case of cosmetic products, Nicky would carry a medicine box with him. There are all sorts of medinces in the box, be it flu, headache, nerves pain, gastric or different kinds of sprains, as long as you can name it, there will be medicine in the box that could cure it.

However, his injury this time is too sudden, Nicky Wu's medicine box was useless against hand injury incurred from explosion and had to turned to doctor for help. "The doctor said it is not serious, as long as the disinfection medicine is taken timely, later when the skin is cut away, letting new skin to grow, it should not be a problem to avoid leaving any scar."

When the mischievous Nicky was asked by friends on his injury, he even pretended cutting the scar, much to the disgust of his friends and agent. Seeing him joking on this matter, Nicky's injury must have recover very well from this accident. His concerned fans can set their mind at rest.

However, "seeing red" seemed to bring Nicky luck. Nicky is very 'hot' in China now. Not only had he filmed many advertisements in China, his new drama "Xiao Shiyi Lang" is also attracted much attention. Even before the drama is completed, many big television stations, including those from Taiwan, are already fighting to get the right to screen.
